Position SummaryThe Manager, Inventory Control is responsible for leading the inventory process controls at Waterfront Logistics from start to finish, and is accountable for the overall process integrity. This position is expected to guide the operational flow to achieve the best standards of service, quality, accuracy, and productivity with a focus on safety, continuous improvement, relationship building, communication and strategic thinking.

Job Responsibilities

· Utilize effective communication to ensure proper policies and procedures are being implemented and executed across departments to assure inventory accuracy

· Create and implement systems to monitor and track inventory through the distribution chain

· Identify and resolve issues and create permanent solutions

· Monitor and enforce a process audit program by department or functional area

· Perform administrative activities associated with the effective management of warehouse engineering and impact to the operations, including compiling, storing, and retrieving production data for reports

· Utilize planning and execution skills to clearly set team and individual priorities, and proactively structure resources to meet them

· Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by monitoring security procedures and protocols while maintaining a safety-first culture

· Guide team members by setting goals, establishing clear expectations, providing constructive feedback and holding mutual accountability to develop and strengthen each member of the team

· Oversee the performance management process for all Operations Inventory Control team members

· Train, coach, support, and supervise operational leaders through this process as needed

· Facilitate, support, and participate in all senior leadership activities and meetings as assigned

Minimum Required Qualifications

· BA|BS degree, preferably in the areas of Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Technology, Operations, or related business

· Minimum of five years of experience in the Manufacturing, Production, or Distribution environment and applicable engineering or management experience.

· Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite

· Experience with performance metrics and process improvement to include time and motion studies, etcetera

· Advanced presentation skills

· Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to handle changing priorities and use of professional judgment in stressful situations

· Ability to motivate others with strong conflict management and problem-solving skills

· Experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions, and termination

· Flexibility to work a variety of hours as business demands including overnight, weekends and holidays

· Able to read and interpret necessary policies and procedures to perform updates and operate systems and other programs within the Distribution Center

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year
